In My Name

Earlier this week a site that we helped out on went live so that you - the people - can make sure that your government keeps its promise to end poverty and inequality by 2015.

It's actually two sites. If you're in the US then the site you can see is In My Name and if you happen to surf the interweb from the rest of the world, then you'll be redirected to White Band Action.

The sites themselves were designed & built in house by the talented Comic Relief New Media Team. It was built using Drupal 6, and if you want to know more about their process then Oli MacColl is going to be talking at the next Drupal for NGOs. The CR guys have actually been very busy & this week also launched another Drupal site - the very sassy looking rednoseday.com(make sure that you have a play with that one too).

So, you may ask, what did HomeMade do? Good question. We helped setup the platform that the sites are hosted on - due the short delivery time and event driven nature of the campaign, we decided that our lovely friend 'the cloud' would be a perfect place to host the site. So, at the moment there are 1/2 dozen Amazon EC2 instances purring along quite nicely helping the site tick over.

What are you waiting for? Go on, visit the site and add your name to the list.
