As a veritable digital virgin I've spent my first few days earning my stripes: wading through a mountain of indecipherable lingo and acquainting myself with the behind the scenes workings of the world wide web.

Through the magic of wikipedia and various other sources I'm taking those first few tentative steps towards really understanding that which so many of us take for granted.

Anyway one must return to the tasks in hand - this is afterall the first of more future updates...
