Drupal / Microsoft - Thoughts On Microsoft And Open Source

As our project with Microsoft comes to a conclusion, it seems like a good time to take stock of what we've learnt and what the corporate giant itself might take away from the experience. For my part, I've definitely seen things from a slightly different perspective in this case study, and had a chance to play with some tools and technologies that I probably would never have bothered to pick up otherwise.

Drupal / Microsoft - Dashboard Nirvana

As previously mentioned we have been doing some work on a Microsoft sponsored case study to look at how well different parts of their technology can integrate with Drupal, and as a side benefit produce some tools that will be of use to charities and NGOs. The project has been somewhat irreverently dubbed project Dango, as in "Drupal And NGOs" (but also a tasty looking form of Japanese dumpling - Mori, can you bring us some back?) and it has been progressing at speed over the last few weeks.

Microsoft & Drupal sitting in a tree...

We've got some rather exciting news... We've been approached by Microsoft to take part in an interesting Drupal project. We're being sponsored to create a suite of modules that will allow for better integration and showcasing of Microsoft technologies whilst at the same time benefiting small NGOs.
