As a fundraising event, Christmas Jumper Day has gone from strength to strength. In 2016, over 60,000 people registered. On the day itself, #christmasjumperday trended at number 1 on Twitter and Facebook was inundated with pictures of people enjoying the festive fun.
In total, the event raised over £500,000 on the day and over £4 million in total – a huge contribution to Save the Children’s mission to help save children’s lives and give them a brighter future. We’re hoping that there’ll be even more to celebrate after this year’s campaign.
